Was my play entirely unethical?
Just a situation in the EBU BBO game today....From QJ10x in dummy and Axx in hand, I finessed the Queen losing to the K on my left. Righty then asked for an undo, so I led the Q again from dummy, Righty played the same card so (aware I really shouldnt) I put the Ace on knowing Righty had the King. No damage done except that if the King had been singleton, would my play have been allowed?
As a general rule though, can one use an undo in the play to adapt your play?
PS Undos arent allowed in the EBU BBO normally, but it was the last hand and a claim had been rejected so there was some confusion!

If you do allow an undo (let's say for a valid reason), then the K will become a major penalty card, so it's OK to play the Ace.
If you're just being kind, well you've already decided to play by a different set of rules.
Also, the K won't be singleton - if it was, why would LHO request an undo as he has to play it?
RHO asked for the undo
Minor correction...I put the Ace on knowing LEFTY had the King
So RHO asked for an undo then played the same card?
Okaaay.
If LHO has played it's definitely too late for an undo.
To answer your secod question: "As a general rule though, can one use an undo in the play to adapt your play?"
If it's an opponent's undo, then Yes. If you are not an offending side, any knowledge from an opponents' withdrawn action is AI.
It's all hypothetical since undos are not allowed in the play except for in cases of misinformation, and in that case the law says:
L47D2. (a) A player may retract the card he has played
because of a mistaken explanation of an
opponent’s call or play and before a corrected
explanation, without further rectification, but
only if no card was subsequently played (see Law
16C). An opening lead may not be retracted after
dummy has faced any card.
So the situation asked about can't arise if playing according to the rules.
This is only true under EBU conditions of play. Other Regulating Authorities (e.g. clubs) may take a different approach (and some do).
An undo is an online event. It may correspond to a number of F2F events, for example an accidental click might correspond to Declarer dropping a card (and the undo therefore being the replacing of the card in Declarer's hand).
The question arose in an EBU game, from what I can see.
It did, but as you point out the question does not have any meaning in an EBU game, and Jeffrey did ask "as a general rule..."
Declarer plays Dummy’s Queen and discards another card from hand. LHO then plays the King! Declarer then says oops, sorry I’ve revoked and now plays then Ace from hand (not established).
Now LHO can replace the card with another (if he has one) and the King becomes UI to declarer.
If indeed the King was a singleton, the TD should not allow the replacement of the Ace (as it appears to be a deliberate “finding out” play by declarer)
I have tried and failed to come up with a comment involving Alcatraz, coups, a trump and $152m.
