NAMES ON BRIDGEMATES

This question has been asked a few times, with largely unfathomable suggestions. We have just acquired a new laptop. EBU Score/Bridgemates work fine, except for the the fact that the players names do not show on Bridgemates after they have input their EBU numbers. The names only appear by the score selecting "read Names" and/or "write names". This did not used to be necessary.

The BCS options are EBU default settings, which worked fine in the past

Can anyone help?

Things to look for are

• Player Names: Player Database: Download EBU Database
• Set BCS Options: Bridgemate II: Name Source: Player & EBU Names Tables
• Player Names: Player Database: Player Management: Disable Using PID for Name Entry?

Robin. Over the years I have seen lots of complicated solution to this problem, none of which worked.

However, disabling using PID has worked for me. No idea why it should, but Robin, many thanks. I will sleep well tonight.

Correctiom. Go into Players Names on the event menu. . Click Player Database at the bottom,then Player management, and check "Disable using PID for name entry"
