Forum login
Is there a simple reason why these forums don't use the same username process as MyEBU?
My phone browser gets confused.. apart from the Full Site difficulties I have already mentioned.
If I leave for a few minutes I get logged out. When I come back the phone remembers my login details but always uses details from here for My EBU. Then it gives an error message and offers me the choice.
So logging into My EBU is a bit slower and more complicated than it could be. I wouldn't have this problem if I could login here with my EBU number.

This software for the forums is entirely unconnected to My EBU.
Thanks.
I just need to convince my browser that the two bits of www.ebu.co.uk are different.

Using two browsers could be a workaround.
Another thought occurs to me: if you used your EBU number for your name here, you wouldn't have the problem. It would mean you wouldn't be so recognisable by name, but since you use an avatar that shouldn't be an issue.

My login here is my name, not my email address.
Yes but you login with email address and password.
That's what Google Chrome remembers.
Thanks for trying. :)

No, I log in with my username and password. I've just tried it and it seems you can do either, so it would work to change your username. Let me know if you would like to do that.
Interesting.
That does work but I can't see a way to change my user name.
Can you do that please?
Then I would just have to get Chrome to unlearn the old details.

Alan: email me (robin@ebu.co.uk) and I can change your username.
I've done it: is that as you want?
If you go in to your browser Settings and open the passwords link (the process for this will vary depending on your browser) you should be able to find the offending one with your old name and remove it.
Thanks for your help.

I'm getting confused now by the Signature option of my profile.
As my name has now disappeared from my userid I have added a signature. It shows up in the main site, smaller than I expected, but the Mobile site does not show it.
I still have to switch to the full site every time I sign in.. to get Recent Discussions.

I think that's the same for everyone. I click on the forum name to get the list of recent posts when I'm using my phone. It's common for mobile versions of forum software to limit some of the options.
