12 Tables 13 board sets

Can someone please help with 12 full tables, is there a way of having an extra board set (feed in or alternative) to eliminate board sharing with Tables 1 & 12. (As this is prone to delays)
I’d also prefer not to have a 12 round Skip with revenge round.
I see there is a 12R Dble Weave Mitchell, which looks rather involved. With board sets moving up and down. (I’ve never tried it though)
Any suggestions please. 🙏
Thank you.

Kind regards Steve

Hesitation Mitchell adds one more board pair but still shares boards for an even number of tables, so doesn't help you.

A Double Hesitation Mitchell adds two more board pairs and uses two relays, no sharing. You'll have 28 boards in circulation - can play 12, 13 or 14 rounds. Needs an arrow switch on the last round (except pivot tables).

Alternatively have a double set of boards on stand-by for sessions like this and feed the second set into table 12

  • Double weave is easy, odd numbered E/W up, even numbered down, N/S swap Boards with whichever way their opponents don't go. Halfway round 1 and 7, 2 and 8 etc. swap Boards. (With an 8 table 1 and 5, 2 and 6 etc. swap at half time). No sharing means less chance of overhearing.

  • Thanks guys, useful information 👍
    Kind regards Steve
  • I tried posting this yesterday but it didn't appear, so I'll have another go but removing the movement definition from here and attaching it instead

I have a 12 table Mitchell-like movement, using and playing 24 boards, no share or relay, 2 winner , standard board movement down.

NS are static on all tables except 2 & 8 where they sometimes swap.

EW generally move up but will either skip table 2 then remain on table 8 for two rounds or remain on table 2 for 2 rounds and skip table 8.

EBUScore movement as attached file. I can provide a grid instead and manual entry

  • That sounds interesting and fairly easy to follow.
Does the movement have a Name? We use ScoreBridge, so I’d appreciate a grid and manual entry.
    Thank you Steve
  • Hi @tickerBerkin
    Thanks for the private message,
    That’s great thanks,
I’ll study it and see if I can create the movement

    Kind regards. Steve

  • Thanks @tickerBerkin,
That’s great thanks. I’m planning to have a trial run with it next week.
I think I’ll have to prepare Table cards; at least for T2 & T8
    Kind regards Steve
