SBU visitor
How should we deal with a visitor from Scotland? [Behave youselves!!]
Downloading the EBU player database offers to append WBU but not the SBU database. Hence the SBU number wasn't recognised. Is there a process to deal with this sort of thing?
Thanks
Peter

Ask me for their EBU number. You can upload the result marking the player as a guest, and an EBU number can be added later.
The database only contains EBU members but members of other unions can earn master points in the EBU and have them transferred, The EBU will create an entry on our internal database for the member and record their SBU number.
Thanks Robin, I will email you details directly.

Its a simple addition to add SBU numbers if helpful, just to ensure the occasional visitor can be recognised from their SBU Number. The WBU addition was in a response to a Dave Stevenson request years ago since a lot of WBU players played in North West competitions, whereas it was unusual for an SBU player to appear. One minor issue with SBU numbers is they are sometimes short numbers - there are four 3-digit numbers and 790 4-digit numbers of the 4500 total members and the 3-digit and 4-digit numbers clash with the Player IDs in the Player Database.
As Robin explained, it is still up to the individual SBU or WBU member to do the MP transaction from the temporary EBU guest holding area.
