  • Thank you . I think that is very helpful

  • Hi Jeremy
Further information is on the "junior" page of the EBED website www.ebedcio.org.uk

If you have not already spoken to EBED and would like to contact me at EBED, we can discuss and provide more information about the role of the charity in schools and universities.

  • Kent's County Youth Officer, who is abroad at the moment has added these comments about the role of the County Youth Officer

Above all, the CYO’s role is to ensure that as many of the county’s youngsters as possible, are provided with an introduction and exposure to the wonderful game of bridge. To support the growth of junior bridge - building a “critical mass” of young players talking about bridge.
To actively promote and encourage opportunities for junior clubs, competitions, teach-ins, and participation in the junior award system.
To support the approach to schools bridge (ensuring Head’s are aware of the benefits).
To ensure that there are adequate marketing channels for young bridge promotion - good “optics" and county-wide exposure channels (websites, BC’s, newspapers etc.).
To “connect” bridge players who want to contribute to youth bridge (but do not know how).
