Running two teams of 8 matches concurrently
Once again I am planning for the annual North East Bridge Association vs East District of Scotland match. Both participants will have two teams of 8 and there are two matches: the A teams playing each other and the B teams playing each other.
I can set up the A-team match easily enough, using merging sections A and B and setting the scoring appropriately in the multi event.
Similarly I can do the same for the B-team match using sections C and D.
I have a single bridgemate server: so I can merge (not combine) the two multi events to create a single multi event that I can use to capture all the results, and then revert to the orignal multi event for each match to get the proper scoring for each match.
This seems to work but I wondered if it was the best way to do this.
Cheers
Paul

That sounds like the way to do it. Unfortunately it won't show accurate current updating results during the session.
Can't you have two sections with both matches (all 4 teams) in both section?
A movement where team 1 only plays 2 and 3 only plays 4.
That sounds like it would work.
Thanks, I will give that a try too.

Robin's idea is a lot simpler: just needed to create a new basic user movement.

If anyone else needs to run two teams of eight matches concurrently, using the same boards in both matches, then I'm happy to provide my EBUScoreTeams data files upon request.
It's always easier to plagierise someone else's work :)
