Its is well worth upgrading to ClubPairs as it is much easier to operate for normal Club Duplicates. It has been used for more than a year without problem at 4 clubs in my area. The functionality is nearly the same, but a lot of the clutter on menus that would never been used has been removed and the Bridgemate Scoring screen is simplified, along with many bug fixes and modified menus from the EBuScore programs. In additition, it is more robust .Many options which are rarely if ever needed have been removed and any enhancements will be much easier. There is a version on EBU site for ClubTeams (simplifying Teams of 8 in particular) and other Club versions for Swiss and individual will be available on request.
There is no migration as such - just download the program into the new folder and install. You can copy your Player Database using the Export to csv button in the EBUScorePairs Player Database > Administration and Import from csv button in ClubPairs Player Database > Player List Admin. You can copy your Club Movements file PSUserMovements.txt directly to CPSUserMovements.txt if you wish to retain them.
I have some user guides but it really should be fairly intuitive how things have been changed.
You can download the latest version 1.1.28 from your EBU members area. I do have a 26 page manual with a one page summary of the normal club day actions at the end. Each TD can download their own version for practice at home.
The main preparation (applicable to all the score programs) is to work out your regular movements for all potential numbers of tables say 3 to 11 tables including half tables. Then set up these Club Movements in the program under Movement Library. In addition, have the set of laminated table cards handy for every possible case at least for 3 to say 11 tables. You can usually run Mitchells for 12+ tables. On the Select Movement menu, set the default to club.
Thereafter, TDs can easily select the movement accordingly. It is usual to use Howells/Hesitations up to to 11 tables and Mitchells thereafter. You can use the recommended Movements by Movement Library > Use Supplied Movements. Sorry for long explantion - but this is the critical preparation work for any club.
The other preparation is to fill the Administration screen with Club Details and Bridgemate program and Names Lookup File location.
It should be obvious how to use the program...Create Movement, Fill Details (usually just TD name but also Import Deal if applicable), Select Movement, Bridgemate Scoring, Create Database/Launch BCS. Use Internet to send to Bridgewebs & EBU. There is a Ranks button on Bridgemate for showing running results on second screen.
I think Jonathan has done some youtube videos on EBUScore and the operation is very similar.
Any problems Email jasmith@nildram.co.uk or jonathan at EBU. We can probably save you some time by converting a scorebridge player database to a clubpairs database using a csv file or via an import / export to bridgewebs.
The main enhancements from EBUScorePairs to ClubPairs are:
Direct submission of UMS File to EBU (or Pianola) from the program
Much simplified Bridgemate Form
Much simplified Player Database Form
Simplified Movement Library Form
Simplified Reports Form
Handle Multisection and Multisession in one event using single Set Movement visit.
Simpler EW Add in Mitchells
Enhanced Print Player List from Player Database
Import/Export File facilities enhanced
Import Manual deals button from Bridgemates
Simplified Teams of 8 in ClubTeams
Textbox, Browser displays enhanced
Removal of most non-EBU required functionality
Less buttons to do normal runs

Hi @JeffreyS ,
We (Deva BC) are considering switching from ScoreBridge to ClubPairs. We also use BridgeWebs.
Do you have any manuals/guides or advice on how to:
1) Make the switch technically and
2) Train our group of TDs on how to make the switch.
Thanks,
Simon

I have made a number of short YouTube videos to help my club directors change from ScoreBridge to ClubPairs.
You can see them on the playlist at https://bit.ly/43qjyET
I can do more if topics are suggested.

Seen them and they are very clear. Great work - Thanks Paul.
