Another comparable question.
Bidding
1C - (1S) - 1S
The 1S bid wasn't accepted.
If the 1S bid is corrected to 1NT (or 2NT) is this comparable being "a subset" of the insufficient 1S bid?

I don't think this is a subset, as the 1NT call can easily only have 3 spades (maybe occasionally 2). You might consider it as same or similar meaning, but the limited nature of 1NT is an issue there, 1S being an unlimited response.
1NT is a limit bid whereas 1S is unlimited so I don't think it is comparable.
It doesn't matter if the replacement shows a more limited range than the replaced bid - that would be a subset. It does matter if the replaced bid shows a minimum of 4 spades and the replacement could be on fewer spades.
