Player withdraws will illness

Reading through the white book, it appears paras 2.4.4 and 2.4.5 are most relevant when a player had to withdraw from illness after playing board 13 of a 24 board club event (8 table double hesitation mitchell). As I understand it, all subsequent boards for that pair get scored Av+ for their opponents because of the sit-out. Additionally, since the withdrawn players score was very poor and it was relayed to me that their score had been impacted in the earlier rounds as a consequence, the TD has the right to judge that their score/submission can be purged from the NGS submission (as it would indeed unduly impact their rating).

Please confirm this is the correct interpretation - and how is this achieved through ScoreBridge?

That is a the EBU regulation which we recommend that clubs follow.

In EBUScore you can mark the pair as missing, and mark both players as NGS Exempt.

I think ScoreBridge has a mechanism for NGS exemption.

Using any scoring program, you can create the XML (USEBIO) file and edit to change
    < PLAYER RATEABLE=”Y” > to < PLAYER RATEABLE=”N” > for the two players.

[Edited so that XML fragments appear; you have to use < and > ]
