Directors for Blue and Green points events
I have just been told...
That only certain nominated directors are allowed to direct green and blue point events.
Is this true? Or more accurately, is there anything that could have been misinterpreted as this?
My "source" has a reputation for mis-hearing and mis-understanding things.

TDs for licensed events have in principle always been subject to approval, though this has not always been enforced rigidly, and they are normally expected to be county or EBU panel TDs. However, apporoval will often be given to those who have run such events before, even if they have not reached that stage, but they are encouraged to progress by taking the county course when they are able to.
