Multiple stationary pairs

My question relates to avoiding awkward table number ordering.
Our clubnight usually has three regularly attending stationary pairs but an unpredictable total number of tables.
It is unwieldly for any of these pairs to change tables once they have sat down.
We don't need Table 1 to be in any particular place.
But we would prefer the sequence following Table 1 to be predictable (circle, snake, whatever).

SO, are we likely to we find more movements provide a good solution if we have all three stationary tables adjacent to each other or does it make no difference?

Comments

  • Run a Mitchells, Hesitation Mitchell, Double Hesitation Mitchell according to the number of pairs. The movement is predictable and no need to have the stationary tables together although they usually are with these movements.

  • The double hesitation mitchell for 6 tables has table 1 and 3-5 stationary, and is 8 rounds of 3. So that should be fine. 7 tables you can play a hesitation mitchell and anything higher a mitchell.
