Player information in BBO

We're rationalising how we store player information and we'd like to include BBO usernames in our player records. Can anyone tell me if it's possible to download information for players who've played in my club's BBO sessions? If so, how does one go about that? I can log on to BBO with our club's ID, but that doesn't list any tournament history. I haven't been an online TD for 3-4 years now and I mainly play F2F, so I can only see a few of my club's online tournaments in my history.
Thanks in anticipation.

  • Also, is it possible to download EBU numbers from our BBO sessions?

  • You can get EBU numbers when you download your session results, but only for those players who have given them in their BBO profiles. Other than that, I think you will have to construct a list manually by looking up their BBO names and seeing if that gives you enough information to identify them from their club data.

  • Thanks @gordonrainsford -- but I have another hurdle first. I rarely play online and I can't see how to get at the tournament records in BBO for sessions when I didn't take part,. I've emailed the writers of BBO Extract to see if they have any ideas.

  • As I understand it you can do it with BBO Extractor, whether or not you played in the sessions.

  • Thanks again @gordonrainsford
I've since heard back from the BBOExtractor authors.
The key issue is identifying the URL (on BBO's website) of the tournament page(s) in question, which is proving tricky.
Next stop is to contact BBO themselves.

  • If you go to bbo/myhands, that's a separate database that contains tournament results. There is a recent tournaments tab, finding any one tournament can be a bit of a struggle. I find the easiest way is to search for hands played by a particular username and navigate to the tournaments from there. Of course, you need the username of someone who played in a particular tournament.

I'm not sure if you can get a complete list of tournaments played by one club. Finding a particular recent tournament is quite possible. If in the recent tournaments tab you click on the host name, that gives you a list, I'm finding with a bit of experimentation.

  • Apparently a virtual club can get their results by going to https://webutil.bridgebase.com/v2/tarchive.php?m=h&h=vebu000000&d=ebu&md=90 where 000000 is replaced by the club's EBU number, and where 90 indicates the number of days to include going backwards.

  • Thanks (x3) @gordonrainsford
That works perfectly, with the constraint that BBO only keeps 90 days' worth available.
I posted a question in the BBO Forums, and someone came back with the same info, so I think that's nailed it. I've bookmarked the page for our club :-)
