Additional software - Dealing Machines?

My club has a relatively new computer and a Bridgemates-Scorebridge-Bridgewebs software set up.
Were we to procure a Dealing machine would we need any additional software to be able to:
1. Deal set hands sent to us electronically ?
2. Print curtain cards?
3. Upload hands with results to Bridgewebs ?
4. Deal hands either imported or of our own devising multiple times for teaching sessions?
And are there other questions I don't know to ask!?

  • The dealing machine should come with software to do all of those things ... haven't used curtain cards for many years though. Should be able to cope with all deal formats you are likely to encounter. Machines may need barcoded cards or may have a camera system to recognize all nationalities of cards.

  • Although you can’t print off Curtain Cards as such. You can print all of the hands for a complete set of boards on an A4 sheet.
  • When we did use curtain-cards, a third of director calls were due to difficulties making sense of what was written by first person to play the hand. I suppose printing should mitigate this but I wouldn't go back to using them.

  • I agree - curtain cards cause far more problems than they have ever solved.
